The sun's ray reflected from the surface of the water makes a certain angle with the top of the stone N69. He expressed the opinion that the stand-alone stone N200 played the same role as the famous The Heel Stone at Stonehenge in England. Kleiner also discovered a number of instruments that were probably related to astronomy. Such was Prof. Bochkaryev's first main opinion. Later he used other methods. In 2003, he also came to the conclusion that Karahunj is more than 7,500 years old, noting that it is the oldest observatory in the world; Tomb dating back to BC. half of the 1st century, in the eastern quarter of the city of Sisian, near the cheese factory, a royal mausoleum, St. Grigor Church, Sisavan Monastery or St. Grigor Church of Sisian was consecrated in 689, a monument to the freedom fighters who died in the Artsakh war, built in 1993. It is located in the south of Tatev village in Syunik region, on the right bank of the canyon of the tributary of the Vorotan river. According to tradition, the monastery was named after Eustatheos, disciple of the apostle Thaddeus. According to Stepanos Orbelyan, who authored the work "History of the Sisakan Province", the first church of Tatev Monastery was built in the 4th century, at the end of the 8th century it was the seat of the Syunyats bishopric. The silver giant (human-sized) "Babkenian cross" with a relic of Christ's wood cross (made by Vasak, the son of Prince Babik), the " Holy Sign of God Pierce " - from Byzantium, the relics of - St. John, St. Stepanos Nakhavka, St. Gregory the Illuminator, St. Hripsime, the hair of the Godmother/Virgin were brought here. It is eight meters high, on the top of its octagonal pillar is an Armenian cross - khachkar and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. The column rests on an octagonal plinth, consists of 12 parts, ends with an ornamented cornice, on which is placed a sphere symbolizing the Earth, on top of which is a khachkar - a compass. A clock and birds are depicted on the pillar; Built with a special lever-based technique that allows the column to swing during shocks and then return to its original position. The pillar was designed to swing to serve as an alarm warning system, alerting the monks to the danger of approaching invading armies. Thanks to the purchase of estates and donations, the monastery has become a major benefactor. In 848, prince Filipe Suni built the church of St. Gregory the Illuminator. Bishop Hovhannes undertook the construction of one of the largest Armenian churches, the St. Paul-Petros Cathedral, by the order of Ashot Syuni, the enthroned prince of Syuniq, which was assisted by Mrs. Shushanik. Below the Tatev Monastery, in the 500-meter gorge of the Vorotan River, one of the wonders of Armenia's nature is located - the Travertine Natural Bridge. This natural wonder was formed over millennia by the constant action of water and wind, which eroded and carved the frozen lava masses. The natural bridge is 60 meters wide and 30 meters long. Not far from the bridge, you can take a dip in the hot springs. The more daring can descend to the river to glimpse the mysterious caves below the springs. In the depths of the Vorotan Gorge, over which the "Tatever" cable car passes, the Vorotan River flows.
